the time will bloom - be still
your lips half open may hide
all words when tokens fall ill
to find me frozen petrified
clasped in sadness of cellar thoughts
I gasped for breath out of those knots
waited too long for something to rise
to break the spell and untie the ties
the hand will open - be mine
the stroke half broken may kill
too fragile and most benign
the heart now silent until
drowned in the mud and dragged ashore
the ground sets silence and sings no more
the words not uttered have no refrain
be still- do not worry- I will come again
your lips half open may hide
all words when tokens fall ill
to find me frozen petrified
clasped in sadness of cellar thoughts
I gasped for breath out of those knots
waited too long for something to rise
to break the spell and untie the ties
the hand will open - be mine
the stroke half broken may kill
too fragile and most benign
the heart now silent until
drowned in the mud and dragged ashore
the ground sets silence and sings no more
the words not uttered have no refrain
be still- do not worry- I will come again
